Cultural Overview

Egyptian culture dates back almost 6,000 years, and is often referred to as the "Cradle of Civilization".
With the rich Nile River running through it, and the country's location (isolated by deserts on two sides) has allowed it to develop one of the richest, most varied societies in the world. Although may appear similar, Egyptian culture in many respects is quite different from other Arab cultures.
