Raising the Economic Standards of Women Residing in El- Haggana District

The project aims at providing employment opportunities for a total number of 90 women residing in El Haggana District.  The project will mainly target sex-workers and other marginalized women living in this area.  Specific activities include training 90 women over the course of the project on designing traditional costumes, 40 of whom will be hired on a regular basis in the NGO’s workshop, while the remaining 50 women will be operating the business from their own homes.  As a component of its marketing strategy, the organization will also launch a website exhibiting the organization’s work, as a way to explore new markets.  The organization will also utilize this project as an opportunity to conduct roundtable discussions that aim at raising these women’s awareness on their social, cultural, and economic rights.  More specifically the organization will implement three roundtable discussions over the life-span of the project.
