Towards a better life for Cancer Patients in Minia
The project aims at providing psychological rehabilitation for cancer patients in Minia governorate within the age bracket of 4-18. As a first activity, 15 volunteers from the organization will be trained on the basic skills and positive practices needed for providing psychological rehabilitation for cancer patients within the targeted age group. As a second activity, volunteers will conduct daily visits to the Oncology Institute in Minia to help the patients overcome their daily challenges. The organization also proposes to conduct door-to-door visits, targeting a total number of 50 patients with the aim of facilitating a more conducive environment for these patients at their homes. Another activity proposed by the organization is to integrate different members/stakeholders of the community in organizing as well as participating in events (festivals and field visits) with the long-term objective of altering their negative attitudes towards cancer patients in Minia.
