Various issues related to Islam were discussed during interviews and focus group discussions when the Program Support Unit (PSU) was working on the production of the book “Working with an Egyptian Partner.” Many interviewees saw that, generally speaking, the west tends to interpret Islam based on western media or on the behavior of the Muslims they encounter – which can, in many cases, be misleading.

“Perspectives on Islam,” is an endeavor to clarify a few controversial issues and to shed light on the essence of the religion itself regardless of some media presentations and observed behavior of some Muslims.
