Selection Criteria for Canada Fund Projects
In order to qualify for CFLI funding, projects should:
- Respond to community needs and involve community participation;
- Foster self-reliance by encouraging locally-managed and financed initiatives
- Address social, economic and sustainable development activities;
- Maximize the use of local resources;
- Demonstrate sustainability;
- Involve women, youth and children as active participants and beneficiaries
- Promote environmental protection and sustainability
Canada Fund Project Size:
The Canada Fund generally supports small grassroots development initiatives seeking a Canadian contribution ranging between L.E. 100,000 and L.E. 120,000.
Partner Contribution:
Some form of contribution from the recipient organization is also required, usually in kind. This is a measure of the seriousness and commitment of the organization to help ensure project sustainability.
