Gender Equality Documents and Reports

    • GE Budgeting Mapping Report (June 2008):
The Environmental Quality International (EQI) commissioned by CIDA presented the report based on a desktop review of GB in Egypt, as well as interviews with various stakeholders, to assess current GB efforts worldwide and in Egypt.

    • Regional Forum Report (May 2007):

The goal of the Forum was to identify and share experiences, case studies and the tools for integrating gender equality across CIDA's programs in the EMM Branch.  The forum included 34 participants representing CIDA Programs in Palestine, Lebanon, Serbia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Morocco, Algeria, Jordan and Egypt.

The Gender Equality (GE) Regional Exchange Forum, the first GE Regional Exchange Forum in the Europe, Middle East and Maghreb (EMM) Branch, was held at Nile Hilton Hotel in Cairo from May 8th to 14th, 2007.

    • Process Paper "Mainstreaming Gender Equality in the Egypt Program Process, Progress and Lessons Learned" (May 2007):

The document also presents a summary of lessons learned and an outline of major steps implemented by the GE Program strategy which can be applied to other programs.

The document provides evidence of how the consultative and participatory approach used to develop the CIDA Egypt GE Program strategy had a determining impact on the implementation process,  ensuring effective and real development, and increasing CIDA's partners' awareness of GE issues.
