PSU Management and Human Resources
Management
Although the PSU is a bilateral project, it has a distinct management structure, scope of services, and budget. The Project Team Leader (PTL), to whom the PSU reports, is the Counselor, Head of Cooperation (HOC), CIDA-Egypt Program in Cairo. While the PSU Director is responsible for the overall management of the unit, the PSU Senior Technical Advisors, the Technical Advisor on Active Citizenship Engagement for Good Governance and the Technical Advisor on Gender Equality, report directly to the HOC.
Human Resources
In light of CIDA’s new orientation and the transitioning of the Egypt Program into a ‘Country of Modest Presence’ with a considerably reduced budget, adjustments have been made to the PSU’s staffing configuration to maximize efficiency while utilizing existing capabilities whenever possible. The following are the current PSU staff:
PSU Director;
Senior Technical Advisor on Active Citizenship Engagement for Good Governance (part-time);
Senior Technical Advisor on Gender Equality (part-time);
Knowledge and Information Management Officer;
Knowledge Management Specialist (part-time);
Senior Finance and Administrative Associate; and
An undetermined number of specialists provided by the PSU on short or long-term basis in response to identified needs and as approved by the HOC.
