PSU Goal, Purpose, Outcomes and Principal Outputs

Goal

To increase the efficiency and effectiveness of Canadian Official Development Assistance (ODA) provided in Egypt.

Purpose

To support CIDA   in the planning, implementation and monitoring of CIDA's new Official Development Assistance Program in Egypt: to generate economic growth by strengthening the enabling environment for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSME) and providing skills for employment to marginalized people.  Meanwhile, CIDA’s three crosscutting themes of gender equality, environment and governance will be fully integrated in the design and implementation of all projects.

Outcomes

1. Effective and efficient support to the provision of enhanced technical/ professional expertise to the CIDA-Egypt Program in the planning, delivery, and monitoring of projects.
2. Enhanced knowledge and information management and capacity development within the CIDA-Egypt Program and with other stakeholders.
3. Enhanced administrative, logistical and financial support services to the CIDA-Egypt Program.

Principal Outputs

1. The development and implementation of Cross-Cutting Theme strategies are effectively supported administratively and logistically.
2. Knowledge relevant to CIDA's Egypt Program areas acquired, synthesized, and maintained through a Knowledge and Information Management Strategy (KIM).
3. Effective and timely logistical, administrative and financial support and services provided to the CIDA-Egypt Program.
