The ACE Self-Assessment and Coaching Tool (SACT)

The Self-Assessment and Coaching Tool (SACT), a central byproduct of the Active Citizenship Engagement for Good Governance Strategy (ACE), was developed during the Strategy’s 2008-2010 pilot implementation phase. This practical tool, designed through consultation and reflection with key stakeholders and local partners, complements and deepens the ACE Strategy.  It is a guide to specific initiatives and capacities; it presents new ideas for consideration; and, it offers a framework for any organization to assess its current capacities and to measure its progress towards strengthened capacity and practice in active citizenship engagement.  Above all, it is a coaching tool for any public or private organization that helps make clear the scope, nature and aims of active citizenship and civic engagement for good governance.
